Fashion Show Mall Las Vegas Strip – A Directory of the Stores and Hours

Fashion Show Mall Las Vegas

Fashion Show Mall Las Vegas

By Steve Beauregard

The Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas is the longtime popular and busy indoor/outdoor shopping complex located right on the Las Vegas Strip. Each year, it receives between 12 to 13 million visitors.

Opened in 1981, it sits in prime real estate directly across the street from both the Wynn and Treasure Island, and catty-corner from the Venetian/Palazzo. It’s easy recognizable on the Strip due to its 480 foot long silver UFO-looking disc that rises high above the mall to provide shade.

At just over 1.9 million square feet, the Fashion Show Mall has 250 stores and kiosks, along with 36 restaurants, including places like Starbucks and Subway. (Go here for a full list and recap of the Fashion Show Mall restaurants).

The main anchor tenants are a who’s who of internationally-acclaimed stores: Nordstrom (on three levels), Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Dillard’s and Forever 21 (with 126,000 square feet of retail space on two different levels), are also main anchor stores at the Fashion Show Mall.

Las Vegas Fashion Show Mall Tidbits

* The Fashion Show Mall parking garages have room for 4,500 cars.

* Travel and Leisure Magazine calls it the 23rd most visited mall in the United States.

* The mall hosts fashion shows every weekend on an 80 foot long retractable runway in the mall’s Grand Hall area.

* The nation’s first Bloomingdale’s Home Store opened at the Fashion Show Mall in 2002. However the unique retail concept, (which had 99,000 square feet of prime anchor space), closed in January of 2013.

* There is free Wi-Fi in the mall.

* Several hotels, (Palms and the Hard Rock are ones that come to mind and which I have personally taken), offer several round trip free shuttle rides to the Fashion Show Mall from their respective hotels. There is also a Deuce Bus stops right in front of the hotel, along with one across the street at the Wynn.

* In August of 2014, mall officials announced plans for a 22,000 square foot expansion of the mall, with five new restaurants planned for the outdoor plaza part of the mall along the Strip. There will also be six new kiosk retailers. Work is expected to be completed in late 2015, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. (Photo courtesy of David Stanley via Flickr).
