Closest In-N-Out Burger to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas

There are two In-N-Out Burger locations within a reasonable walking distance of the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.

The closest one is down the street on Tropicana Avenue, and is approximately an 8/10th of a mile walk each way. It should take a normal walker around 15 to 20 minutes to get there

The nearest In-N-Out to the MGM Grand is the one east of the Las Vegas Strip on Tropicana Drive, the major road that runs right by the MGM. This In-N-Out is just east of I-15, on Dean Martin Drive. Specifically, the address is 4888 Dean Martin Drive.

By my calculations, it’s an .8 mile walk, or 1.8 kilometers. That’s starting from close to the front Strip entrance of the MGM Grand. Some mapping systems say it’s a 1.1 mile walk, but they start near the MGM Grand parking lot, and don’t account for the fact that it’s not a straight shot, due to the fact you have to some little zig-zags to get there. More on that in a second.

There's An In-N-Out Burger Within Walking Distance of the MGM Grand

To get there, leave the upper MGM Entrance outside the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard (The Strip), and Tropicana Avenue. There are two exits: one on the Strip level, and one that takes you over a pedestrian bridge to the New York – New York Hotel and Casino. Take the pedestrian bridge.

Right before you get to New York – New York, take the escalator (or elevator) on your left down to the Strip and go south on the curving sidewalk, past the Statue of Liberty and pond towards the gleaming white Excalibur.

Take the escalators in front of up to the pedestrian bridge, where you’ll want to head on over to the Excalibur side of Tropicana Avenue.

You may be tempted to stay on the New York – New York side of the sidewalk, the north side of Tropicana, but don’t do this, as the sidewalks ends up ahead a bit. The south side sidewalk, near the Excalibur can take you safely all the way to In-N-Out.

Once on the Excalibur side of the pedestrian bridge, take the escalator down, and follow the path. But instead of taking it into the casino, take a hard right and follow it back north towards Tropicana Avenue, as you’ll walk along the sidewalk that runs parallel to Tropicana Avenue.

This sidewalk is not exactly a straight path. Just after you pass the Excalibur property line, it will meander down, and you may think you’re lost. Don’t fret, and stay on the sidewalk, as it will meander back up north towards Tropicana Avenue.

After walking on the bridge, over the busy traffic below you on Interstate 15, you’ll have to cross a couple of pedestrian crosswalks before entering back on sidewalk. By this time, you’ll already see the famous and familiar In-N-Out Burger sign that towers above the interstate.

About 500 feet east of the bridge over the Interstate, you’ll hit Dean Martin Drive, where you’ll just want to cross Tropicana at the stop light, and proceed just another few hundred feet to delicious fast food goodness.

The In-N-Out Burger on Dean Martin Drive near the Las Vegas Strip is open until 1 a.m., Sunday – Thursday, and until 1:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

In-N-Out Burger on the Strip

The Las Vegas Strip is home to an In-N-Out Burger. While further away from the MGM Grand, you may find it closer if you’re hanging out in the Bellagio/Caesars Palace area.

This In-N-Out is one of several restaurants at the Linq Promenade shopping area, which is in-between the Flamingo Hotel and the Linq Hotel. It would be a 1.6 mile walk along the Strip sidewalk from the MGM Grand.

Driving From the MGM Grand to the Closest In-N-Out Burger

It all depends on what part of the resort you’re leaving from, but either way, it will only take you about five minutes to drive from the MGM Grand to the In-Out-Burger on Dean Martin Drive.

If you’re leaving from the large main valet parking, and drop-off area (called the Port Cochere), you’ll just simply take a right onto Tropicana Avenue, and follow it straight for about a mile over the bridge to Dean Martin Drive.

If you’re leaving the MGM Grand Parking structure, you’ll want to go north on Audrie Drive. Those of you leaving the north parking garage exit will want to take a left from the parking structure onto an unnamed road. From there, you’re only option is to take a right, going north on Audrie.

After crossing under the Las Vegas Monorail, and then under a pedestrian bridge, you’ll want to take the first left onto another unnamed street.

Take this unnamed street a few hundred feet to the Strip, passing the giant Coca-Cola store on your left.

Take a left on the Strip (going south), then get in your right lane and take a right on Tropicana.

From there, the directions are the same as if you were leaving the MGM Grand drop-off area: stay on Tropicana for 3/4 of a mile or so until you get to Dean Martin Drive. Take a right on Dean Martin and you’re there.

Overall, there are many ways to get from the MGM Grand to the nearest In-N-Out Burger, and if you’ve never experienced this fast food icon, you owe it to yourself to make it there.
