Costco Near the Las Vegas Strip – Hours, Location, and How Far is the Closest One?

They carry everything from steak, to diapers, to radial tires. They are the members-only warehouse retail giant you’ve come to know and love. Or at least, to know. They are Costco, and they are seemingly everywhere in the country. Las Vegas has five different Costcos, spread throughout the valley.

The closest Costco to the Las Vegas Strip is the Costco Business Center on South Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. It is 6 miles away from the center of the Strip. Opened in 2009, it’s part of a strip mall area north and west of the Strip, on the other side of Interstate 15.

It’s actually close to downtown Fremont Street. While this Costco is just 1.2 miles away from downtown, (or a five minute drive from the casinos on Fremont Street), it is six miles away from Caesars Palace or the Flamingo on the Strip, or about a 15 minute drive.

It is, of course, even longer from hotel/casinos on the south end of the resort. This Costco is 7.4 miles from the MGM Grand, for example.

It should be noted that this Costco is more business and commercial oriented than some other stores. While it still has all of the bulk items you’ll need (bottled water, bags of snacks, alcohol, etc.), it may be a little smaller, less fancy, and with less variety of consumer items than the Costco you may be used to back home. This location does not have a food court, nor do they give out free samples on Saturdays here.

North Las Vegas Costco

This Costco is well north of town, away from touristy area. It is, however the closest Costco to nearby locals’ casinos, such as Aliante Hotel and Casino, or the Santa Fe Station. Unlike the Costco closest to the Strip, this one is open on Sundays.

Summerlin Costco

Again, this Costco Warehouse is well off the Strip, and probably not the one you want to go to if you are staying downtown or at one of the mega-resorts on Las Vegas Boulevard.

This store is 16 and ½ miles west of the Strip, in the suburb of Summerlin. It is, however, just a stone’s throw from the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa. It’s also near the entrance to Red Rock Canyon National Monument, if you are wanting to stop for supplies on your way back after a day of sightseeing.

Costco Henderson, Nevada

Henderson is a suburb of Las Vegas, situated south and east of the Las Vegas Strip. It’s about 9.1 miles, (or a 20 minute drive), from south Strip casinos, such as the Excalibur or Luxor. So again, the store on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd near downtown is still the nearest Costco to Strip resorts.

There are two Costco Warehouses in Henderson, which we’ll call Henderson and South.

This Henderson store’s hours are the same as the other two Las Vegas Costco Warehouses that are not close to the Strip. That is to say, they are as follows:

South Henderson Costco

The newest Costco in the Las Vegas area, this warehouse opened in November of 2018, and is the southernmost one in the valley. It’s located near Liberty High School and just north of the Henderson Executive Airport.
