Who runs Ignition
Ignition launched in 2016 as a spin-off of Bovada, taking over its US poker business. Ignition’s own help pages say the site is licensed and regulated by the Anjouan Gaming Board in the Comoros, through Arachis Media Ltd, and that in some jurisdictions it is operated by Bamboo Media.
That licence does not make Ignition legal under US state law, and no US state regulator oversees it. If a dispute can’t be settled with support, there is no state agency to complain to.
Ignition Poker
The poker room is Ignition’s main draw. It runs on the PaiWangLuo network and focuses on No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha. Stud, draw and mixed games are not offered.
Anonymous tables
Every table is anonymous. Players appear without screen names, and tracking software and heads-up displays (HUDs) are not supported. The aim is to make it harder for regulars to track and target recreational players.
Formats
- Cash games in Hold’em and Omaha, with most traffic at micro and low stakes.
- Zone Poker, a fast-fold No-Limit Hold’em format. When you fold, you move straight to a new table and a new hand.
- Jackpot Sit & Go, three-player hyper-turbo tournaments with a randomly drawn prize pool of up to 2,500 times the buy-in. Most tournaments draw the lowest multiplier.
- Tournaments, including daily guaranteed events, satellites, monthly series and a $150,000 guaranteed Sunday tournament.
Software
Ignition Poker can be played on desktop computers and on mobile devices.
Ignition Casino
The casino side runs in a web browser on computers and phones. The lobby holds more than 400 casino games, and slots make up most of the library.
Table games and video poker
The table section is led by many blackjack variations, alongside other table games and video poker. There are also more than 30 specialty games.
Live dealer
Ignition has a live dealer section, staffed by more than 80 live dealers.
Deposits and withdrawals
You can deposit with Visa or Mastercard (minimum $20) or with crypto, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin and Tether. Card withdrawals are not available, so most players cash out by crypto.
Ignition’s help pages list these withdrawal options:
| Method | Minimum | Maximum per withdrawal | Processing time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | $100 | $9,500 | Up to 24 hours |
| Litecoin | $10 | $9,500 | Up to 1 hour |
| Ethereum | $50 | $2,500 | Up to 1 hour |
| Tether (USDT) | $50 | $2,500 | Not stated |
| MatchPay | $10 | $2,000 | Instant |
| Player voucher | $10 | $3,000 | Instant |
Crypto withdrawals can be requested once every 15 minutes, and weekly limits differ by coin. Ignition doesn’t charge its own fee on crypto withdrawals, though your wallet or exchange may.
Customer support
Support is available 24/7 by live chat and email, and the help center covers banking, poker and account questions.
Verdict
Ignition is one of the strongest offshore options for US poker players, thanks to anonymous tables, busy low-stakes games and quick crypto payouts. The trade-off is the one that applies to every offshore site: you are playing without US state regulation, and residents of five states can’t play at all.
