Casino gambling is legal, the minimum age is 21, and you need government-issued photo ID to get in. Slot machines also turn up in bars and restaurants across Providenciales.

Casinos in Turks and Caicos
The Casino at the Ritz-Carlton, Grace Bay
The newest and most polished gaming room in the islands is inside The Ritz-Carlton, Turks and Caicos, in central Grace Bay. It opened in July 2021 and covers about 5,500 square feet. It has nine table games, with blackjack, craps, roulette, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em, plus a selection of slot machines.
Casablanca Casino, Grace Bay
Casablanca Casino sits in the Grace Bay tourist district and is the oldest casino on Providenciales. It has around 85 slot machines and tables for blackjack, Three Card Poker, craps and roulette, along with a bar and lounge. It offers free transport to and from nearby resorts.
Slot machines in bars and restaurants
Outside the two casinos, most gaming in the islands is slot play. Carib Gaming is the largest slot route operator, with machines in dozens of bars, restaurants and clubs around Providenciales.
Grand Turk
Grand Turk, home to the islands’ cruise ship center, has no operating casino. The Grand Turk Resort and Casino opened in 2014 but closed soon after.
Gambling laws in Turks and Caicos
The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory with their own gaming laws. Gaming is overseen by the Gaming Control Commission, which said in a November 2024 public notice that only gaming in a licensed venue is permitted and told unauthorised operators to stop. In January 2024 the House of Assembly passed amendments to the Gaming Control and Gaming Machine laws, setting gaming taxes on adjusted gross receipts with a cap of 30 percent on gaming machines.
The same debate showed how sensitive local gambling is. Several members said the law should discourage residents from gambling, and the government said the question of who may gamble would be discussed separately from those tax changes. If you live in the islands rather than visiting, check the current rules with the casino before you go.
The minimum age to gamble in a casino is 21, and the casinos ask every guest for government-issued photo ID at the door.
Online gambling
Turks and Caicos has a small place in online gambling history: Internet Casinos Inc., registered in the islands, launched one of the first online casinos in 1995. Today no online casinos are based in the territory. If you play at online gambling sites from the US, remember that offshore operators are not licensed by US state regulators.
Games you will find
The table mix is short and familiar: blackjack, craps, roulette and house-banked poker games such as Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em, which you play against the dealer rather than against other players as in traditional poker. Slots outnumber tables by a wide margin.
