Aria Resort & Casino is an upscale casino hotel in CityCenter on the Las Vegas Strip, combining a large gaming floor, dedicated poker, destination restaurants, and several accommodation tiers. Its strongest appeal is having enough dining, gambling, and resort amenities to anchor an entire trip. The trade-offs are its large footprint, setback from the sidewalk, and the need to budget beyond the room rate. I would shortlist Aria for adults planning a full resort stay, especially when dining and poker matter as much as the room.

Location and atmosphere: modern Vegas, substantial walking

Aria is modern Las Vegas rather than themed Las Vegas. Opened in December 2009, it trades replicas for curved glass towers, contemporary art, and a broad casino floor. The styling is relatively restrained by Strip standards. The scale is not.

Its CityCenter setting puts it near the Shops at Crystals, Vdara, and Waldorf Astoria, with Bellagio to the north and Park MGM to the south. That makes it a useful base for a Strip-focused trip.

The catch is the setback from Las Vegas Boulevard. Being on the Strip does not mean your elevator opens beside the sidewalk. Treat a dinner reservation elsewhere as a small journey, not a quick dash downstairs. Corridors, elevators, pedestrian routes, and summer heat deserve room in the schedule.

Casino games at Aria

Aria offers the breadth I want from a full-service casino resort: slots, video poker, live table games, player-versus-player poker, and an on-property sportsbook. Members of a group can pursue different games without making separate casino trips.

The official 2026 property fact sheet lists more than 150,000 square feet of gaming, 1,940 slot machines, and 145 table games. These are published inventory figures, not a promise that every machine or table will be available when you arrive.

Slots and video poker

The extensive machine inventory gives slot players plenty to browse, and video poker is also offered. Choose your total wager before getting attached to a screen: a low denomination can still produce a substantial bet after credits and game features enter the picture.

For video poker, read the complete pay table and rules rather than judging the game by the resort surrounding it. A jackpot story tells you what happened to one player, not what return your machine offers.

Table games

The published selection includes blackjack, craps, baccarat, mini-baccarat, roulette, European roulette, Let it Ride, Pai Gow, Pai Gow Poker, Three Card Poker, Crazy4Poker, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em.

A listed game may not be staffed at every hour, so ask ahead if a particular game is the reason for your visit. Do not build your bankroll around an assumed bargain minimum.

At blackjack, check whether a natural pays 3:2 or 6:5. At roulette, count the zeros. Read the table minimum and any separate side-bet requirements. I would rather spend a few minutes comparing rules than an evening paying for a convenient seat.

Poker room

Aria has a dedicated player-versus-player poker room, separate from casino table games such as Three Card Poker. The property also describes Table One, a separate one-table high-limit poker room with access to the poker cashier. That count applies only to Table One, not the entire poker operation.

For a poker-focused trip, check current cash games, stakes, tournament schedules, and waiting lists directly with the room. The useful question is whether your preferred game is running when you want to play.

BetMGM sportsbook

The on-property BetMGM sportsbook has 90 HD screens listed in the fact sheet, betting kiosks, and eight IPT betting stations for race wagering. The sportsbook is specifically described as smoke-free; that policy should not be generalized to the entire casino.

For major sporting events, ask about seating reservations, spending requirements, and event arrangements. Being able to place a wager and being guaranteed a comfortable viewing seat are different things. Mobile-account setup and location requirements are separate from retail betting.

Aria hotel: compare the room category and its benefits

Aria’s published inventory totals 4,002 guestrooms, including 549 Tower and Sky Suites. Categories range from deluxe rooms to Tower Suites, Sky Suites, and invite-only SKYVILLAS.

Do not let photographs of the most exclusive accommodations set expectations for an ordinary reservation. These categories are different products, with different services and access privileges.

  • Deluxe rooms: A conventional Aria hotel stay, without automatically including suite-specific benefits.
  • Tower Suites: VIP Lounge check-in with light snacks and beverages, priority taxi-line access, and complimentary turndown upon request.
  • Sky Suites: A more separate hotel experience with private check-in, elevators, a lounge, and exclusive Sky Pool access.
  • SKYVILLAS: Invite-only accommodations, not an ordinary upgrade available to every room shopper.

Airport transportation deserves particular attention. The fact sheet limits the Sky Suites roundtrip airport-transfer inclusion to direct two-bedroom bookings. Other guests can arrange transportation through BLS. Do not assume every Sky Suites reservation includes that benefit.

Our suite comparison: space versus services

Our comparison separates published room sizes from access benefits. It is an analysis of the property’s information, not a room inspection or guest survey.

Gamboool original analysis

We assembled the comparison below from published information and our calculations. These are selected examples, rather than measured gambling sessions or a representative survey.

Detail Published information
ARIA BetMGM Sportsbook: Smoking policy and betting facilities The sportsbook is specifically described as smoke-free and includes kiosks and eight IPT betting stations; this policy should not be generalized to the entire casino.
ARIA Tower Suites: Check-in and included services Tower Suites offer VIP Lounge check-in with light snacks and beverages, priority taxi line access, and complimentary turndown upon request.
ARIA Sky Suites: Airport transfer eligibility Airport roundtrip transfer is limited to direct two-bedroom bookings; other guests can book through BLS. Do not present airport transfers as universal Sky Suites inclusions.
ARIA Sky Suites: Private arrival access condition The private porte cochère and personal greeting are described for guests arriving in MGM House Cars or BLS.
ARIA Sky Pool: Access restriction Sky Pool access is exclusive to Sky Suites guests, rather than an amenity available to every hotel guest.
ARIA SKYVILLAS: Booking eligibility SKYVILLAS are invite-only accommodations, unlike publicly bookable suite categories.
ARIA Sky Suites guest rooms: Public online availability The fact sheet distinguishes Sky Suites suites from guest rooms that are not sold online to the open market.
LIQUID Pool Lounge: Adult-only policy LIQUID is an adult-only pool lounge, distinct from unrestricted access to the resort’s other pool facilities.
ARIA dining: Published meal-service comparison Salt & Ivy is listed for breakfast and lunch, while Din Tai Fung is listed for lunch and dinner; they serve different planning needs.
ARIA casual dining: Late-night meal options Both ARIA Patisserie and Moneyline Pizza & Bar are listed for late-night service, with different food selections; the passage does not establish exact closing times.
Calculation Result Takeaway
Tower and Sky Suites as a share of published guestroom inventory 13.7181409295 percent of published guestroom inventory Suites are a minority of the published inventory; check the booked category rather than expecting suite amenities with every reservation.
Difference between the smallest published Sky Suites penthouse and ARIA Suite 415 square feet The penthouse range starts with more space, but these category minimums are not a same-bedroom comparison; confirm the specific floor plan before upgrading.
Overlap between the published ARIA Suite and penthouse size ranges 165 square feet of overlap between category ranges The size ranges overlap, so the penthouse label alone does not guarantee more floor space than every ARIA Suite.

Research references: filecache.mediaroom.com.

Method: Published inputs collected 2026-10-15. Illustrative assumptions are labeled, and the full calculation inputs remain in the saved research record. These examples support planning; they do not predict a particular session.

Tower and Sky Suites represent approximately 13.72% of the published guestroom inventory, using 549 suites out of 4,002 guestrooms. Suite amenities should not be expected with every hotel reservation.

Within Sky Suites, the published ARIA Suite range is 1,050 to 1,630 square feet, while the penthouse range is 1,465 to 2,060 square feet. The penthouse range starts 415 square feet higher, but the ranges have 165 square feet of overlap.

That overlap is the useful takeaway: a penthouse label does not guarantee more floor space than every ARIA Suite. These ranges combine one- and two-bedroom accommodations, so this is not a same-bedroom comparison. Compare the specific floor plan, bedroom count, view, and included services before paying for an upgrade.

Is staying on-site worth it?

I think the strongest case is for visitors who will use the restaurants, poker room, pools, or spa. Returning upstairs between activities is a real convenience during a long evening or hot afternoon.

If you mostly plan to sleep here and spend the day elsewhere, compare the complete booking total with nearby hotels. Amenities you will not use do not add much value.

Rooms have integrated controls for functions such as lighting, curtains, and temperature. Ask for help early if a control is unfamiliar or unresponsive, and confirm check-in, checkout, and any early-arrival or late-departure arrangements against your reservation.

Pools, spa, and nightlife

Aria has a pool deck, spa, salon, and fitness center, but pool access depends on the facility and booking. The Sky Pool is exclusive to Sky Suites guests, while LIQUID Pool Lounge is an adult-only experience. Neither should be treated as unrestricted access included with every room. Check seasonal operations and charges for cabanas, daybeds, and other extras.

Nightlife includes JEWEL Nightclub and live entertainment at Lift Bar. ALIBI Lounge, Lobby Bar, and Easy’s Cocktail Lounge offer alternatives to a nightclub evening. Check schedules, admission terms, and dress requirements for the specific venue.

Shopping and contemporary art add interest beyond gambling. The neighboring Shops at Crystals and nearby resorts broaden the options, but Aria’s appeal is the combined resort experience, not a guaranteed nightly theater production.

Restaurants and bars: choose by meal and occasion

Dining is one of Aria’s strongest reasons to visit without staying overnight. Here is how I would organize the choices:

  • A planned dinner: Carbone for Italian-American dining, Jean Georges Steakhouse for steak, and CATCH for sushi, seafood, and steak.
  • Other dinner options: BARDOT Brasserie for French food, Blossom for Chinese cuisine, Lemongrass for Thai, and Gymkhana for Indian dining.
  • Lunch or dinner: Din Tai Fung for Taiwanese dumplings and noodles, or Javier’s for Mexican food.
  • Breakfast or lunch: Salt & Ivy is listed for daytime dining, not dinner.
  • A quicker meal: Proper Eats Food Hall has multiple counter-service choices; Posh Burger offers burgers, shakes, and sides.
  • Late-night options: ARIA Patisserie and Moneyline Pizza & Bar are both listed for late-night service. Confirm exact hours.

For a special dinner, reserve first and organize the evening around it. For food between activities, the food hall or a counter-service option is more flexible.

Gymkhana also offers a reason for returning fans to try its Aria location: Visit Las Vegas’s April 2026 dining feature lists Goan Lobster Curry among its Las Vegas-exclusive dishes. Check the current menu if that is what you are coming for.

Quick service does not automatically mean bargain pricing. Allow for drinks, tax, and tips where applicable. Check dietary requirements with the restaurant itself; a cuisine description is not an allergy policy.

Parking, transportation, and practical visit advice

Follow signs for self-parking, valet, or the appropriate passenger pickup point rather than assuming they share an entrance. The official property map helps locate gaming areas, restaurants, elevators, and transportation points. It also specifies age 21 for entry to gaming areas.

Check parking charges and complimentary-parking eligibility before driving. Your rewards status and booking terms may affect the cost.

From Harry Reid International Airport, taxis, rideshares, rental cars, and prearranged transportation are practical options. Leave time for traffic and the walk from your room to the correct departure area.

The complimentary ARIA Express tram can help with trips between the Park MGM, CityCenter, and Bellagio areas, although reaching a station still involves walking. It is not an airport train or the Las Vegas Monorail. Visitors with mobility limitations should ask about accessible room features and manageable routes to their planned activities.

Budget for the complete stay

Compare the final booking total, not just the first nightly rate shown. Review resort fees, taxes, parking, payment-card authorizations, cancellation terms, and optional upgrades.

Then add the dinners, drinks, spa treatments, nightlife, and pool extras you intend to buy. Keep your gambling bankroll separate. A room offer is not good value if it nudges you beyond your spending plan.

MGM Rewards

Aria participates in MGM Rewards. Attach your account to eligible play and spending, and ask how qualifying purchases should be recorded. Parking benefits, room offers, and fee treatment depend on status and offer terms, not membership alone.

My rule is to collect rewards on spending you already planned, not gamble more to chase a discount.

Our take: who should choose Aria?

I would choose Aria for an adult-focused Strip trip built around varied gaming, destination dinners, and time at the resort rather than just a place to sleep. Its dedicated poker, smoke-free sportsbook, and distinct suite tiers add substance to the upscale setting. Choose a more compact or budget-oriented property if minimizing walking and keeping the complete bill simple are your priorities; at Aria, the location is an advantage, but convenience still requires planning.
