One of the best features of staying or just playing at the OYO Hotel and Casino is that it is one of the few remaining casinos on the Las Vegas Strip with complimentary parking.
To be sure, the 657 room OYO isn’t technically on the Strip, but at just an eight minute walk, it’s close enough.
And, given that some casino daily parking rates are pushing the $20 range, the OYO’s free parking is a nice benefit, allowing you to spend that money more wisely, such as at the Wheel of Fortune machine.
Formerly the Hooters Hotel & Casino, the OYO Las Vegas hotel’s affordable rooms, free parking, and location next to the Tropicana and across from the MGM Grand make it a fairly popular option for those who want to be close to the action of the Strip without having to pay mega-resort prices.
OYO Las Vegas Hotel & Casino Parking Fee
Self-parking at the OYO Las Vegas is free to hotel guests and visitors alike. You won’t take a ticket, nor is there any sort of parking validation needed.
There also seems to be plenty of spaces, thanks to the six-story attached parking garage on the west side of the property.
In addition to the six levels in the parking garage, (all accessed to the resort by elevators), there is some outdoor surface lot parking out front to the left of the entrance (as you’re looking at the resort).
These outdoor spaces get you into the hotel/casino faster, but may be harder to get, and of course, don’t offer the shade protection from those 110 degree July Las Vegas days.
OYO Las Vegas Hotel & Casino Valet Parking
Although it looks like a valet area directly in front of the resort, there is no valet parking at the OYO Las Vegas.
This porte cochere area is for hotel registration, dropping off your bags, and taxi and rideshare services.
OYO Las Vegas Parking Directions
Pretty straightforward: When driving away from the Strip on Tropicana Avenue (the road between the OYO and MGM Grand), you’ll take the first right past the Tropicana Hotel & Casino, marking another hard right turn towards the parking garage entrance.
If heading west on Tropicana Avenue towards the Strip, you will have to take a left hand turn just before you get to OYO, on Duke Ellington Way, at which point the OYO will be on your right.
From there, you’ll just take the first right, driving into the property, through the porte cochere, where the parking garage entrance will be on your left.
Oversized Parking at the OYO Las Vegas
There is oversized parking available at the OYO, however it is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The resort recommends that when you make a hotel reservation here, you request an oversized space. I have heard of people parking their RVs at the OYO, however there aren’t any hook-ups or anything.
