YouWager is an offshore sportsbook based in Costa Rica, and it still takes bets from US players at YouWager.lv. One account covers a sportsbook with in-game betting, a racebook, an online casino with live dealers and a poker room. It is not licensed by any US state regulator, so US bettors have no state agency to turn to if a payout goes wrong.

What YouWager is
YouWager is an offshore sportsbook built for American bettors. Despite the foreign web address, the menu is centred on US sports and US-style bets. Its main domain is YouWager.lv. The site lists BetPOP, Wager7 and DiscountWager as sister brands.
Is YouWager safe and legal?
YouWager is not licensed in any US state, and its pages do not name a gaming regulator. No US agency checks its finances or handles complaints, and Costa Rica does not oversee sportsbooks the way a US state gaming board does.
The risk that comes with any offshore site applies here. Keep your balance small, withdraw winnings often and read the house rules before you bet. If you live in a state with legal sports betting, a state-licensed sportsbook gives you protections YouWager cannot.
The sportsbook
The focus is North American: NFL and college football, NBA and college basketball and MLB, with soccer, MMA and esports also on the board. The biggest US leagues get the highest limits.
Bet types
- Point spreads, moneylines, totals and team totals, with the option to buy points
- Halves, quarters and first-five-innings lines
- Parlays and teasers, including sweetheart and other special teasers, plus pleasers
- If bets, action reverse bets and round robins
- Props, futures and in-game wagers
Betting limits
YouWager publishes its standard limits. Same-day lines get the full limit, and overnight lines are lower.
| League | Spread | Moneyline | Total | Props |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| NFL | $10,000 | $3,000 | $5,000 | $500 |
| NBA | $5,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 | $500 |
| MLB | $3,000 | $5,000 | $3,000 | $300 |
Parlays run from two to 15 teams, with a maximum payout of $150,000. During the NFL regular season, YouWager cuts the juice on NFL sides to -105 from Friday evening to Saturday morning.
Horse racing
A separate racebook sits on the same account, so you can bet horses from your sportsbook balance.
Mobile betting
There is no app to download. YouWager runs in your phone’s browser, with mobile versions of both the sportsbook and the casino lobby.
Casino and poker
The casino is an add-on to the sportsbook, split into several lobbies with slots, blackjack, roulette and other games. The live dealer section has blackjack, roulette, baccarat and Super 6.
The poker room uses your sportsbook login and balance. It is not part of any poker network, so you play only against other YouWager customers.
Deposits and withdrawals
- Deposits: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and other cryptocurrencies, plus other methods shown in the cashier once you log in. When YouWager covers a deposit fee, that deposit carries a 3x rollover before you can withdraw it.
- Withdrawals: crypto payouts are free. Depending on the method, payouts arrive the same day or within one to five business days. Check payouts carry a fee.
Limits and fees vary by method, so check the cashier before you deposit.
Customer support
YouWager lists 24/7 live chat, a toll-free phone line and email support.
Our verdict
YouWager is a no-frills sportsbook for North American bettors, with a full set of US bet types, published limits that are high on the major leagues, reduced juice on NFL sides at set times, a racebook, and a casino and poker room on the same account. The weak spots are a plain design and the offshore trust question: it is not licensed in the US. For other offshore sportsbook reviews, see Bookmaker.eu and BetOnline.
