Unlike Walmart, which has a couple of Walmart stores nearby the Las Vegas Strip, there is only one Target store close to Las Vegas Boulevard.
There are sixteen Targets in the Las Vegas area, but the one we’re talking about close to the Strip is officially called the “Las Vegas Flamingo Now with Fresh Grocery Target” (or as I call it, “Target.”). It’s not a Super Target, but it has It has a Starbucks. The store is open until 11 p.m. every night except Sundays, when it closes at 10 p.m.
(Go here to find the Nearest grocery store to the Las Vegas Strip).
This Target store almost exactly 2 miles away from the Las Vegas Strip at a strip mall called the Maryland Crossing Shopping Center. To be exact, it is 2.1 miles east of the intersection of the Strip and Flamingo Road. Flamingo Road is of course, the intersection where you’ll find Bally’s, the Bellagio, and Caesars Palace. It would take you around ten minutes to get to this Target from this part of the Strip. (Google maps shows it’s 2.8 miles from the middle of Caesars to this Target).
To get there, take the Las Vegas Strip to E. Flamingo Road, where you’ll head east. (For reference, Bally’s is on the east side of the Strip).
Continue on Flamingo Boulevard two miles to S. Maryland Parkway, where you’ll want to take a left (North). Alternatively, before you get to Maryland, you can take a left on an un-named road leading to the strip mall – they end up at the same place.
Once on Maryland Parkway, you’ll see the Target sign immediately on your left.
(The red pin on the right side of the map is the closest Target to the Las Vegas Strip)
The exact address for this Target is:
Las Vegas, NV. 89119
Store hours are as follows:
Monday – Saturday: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This Target’s pharmacy hours are as follows:
Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The main number for the store is: (702) 732-2218, while the pharmacy’s phone number is: (702) 732-1840.
For those of you staying on the far south end of the Strip, there is another Target on Blue Diamond Road. This location is south and west of the Strip, and west of I-15. It’s the closest Target if you’re staying south of the Strip, at places like the South Point Hotel and Casino, or Tahiti Village. I’ve personally measured the distance and when staying at Mandalay Bay, the Blue Diamond Target is 1/10th of a mile further than the S. Maryland Target store. However because south Las Vegas Boulevard experiences less traffic than the Strip, maps estimate you’d save 2 minutes driving.
Otherwise, the closest Target to the Strip hotels, (even South Strip properties) is still the main one we mentioned earlier on Maryland Parkway. Going from Mandalay Bay to this Target, for example, is 4.3 miles, versus a 4.7 mile drive to the Blue Diamond Road Target – meaning you’ll save about 1/2 mile by going to the one on Maryland.
Other distances from casinos to the Maryland Parkway Target store:
MGM Grand: 2.7 miles.
Excalibur: 3.3 miles.
Aria: 3.0 miles.
Westgate – 2.8 miles.
Treasure Island: 2.3 miles.
Stratosphere: 3.3 miles
Circus Circus: 3.1 miles
Rio: 3.8 miles.
